Hi.Generally you can choice the first octect for do it. Ports 0,1,2,3 but if you want, you can choice the ports 28,29,30,31. Anyway.

Thanks for your answer but can we use for ISL ports on separe ASIC ?. For example, can we take port 0 and port 31 and use it for trunking ?Pierre.

Pierre,Most people do tend to use the first asic or the last asic for their trunks, but as long as you keep them on the same asic, it won't matter where on the switch you put them.

Pierre, Stay on the same asic. The 4100 asic technology has 8-port groups (as opposed to four). So I would imagine you could get 32GB/sec if you trunked all 8. But you need to stay on the same asic no matter which model switch you're using.
