trying to figure out switching topology

Hi I am running two ICX stack of four 6450 switches configured in iron stack these are my access switches.   I have a stack of two icx 6610 switches for core switches.

 

I know these must all be connected together.   I was going to map these out I figured I would start with finding my trunks as I figured this would be how they are connected.

 

I dont have alot of experience with Brocade switches as I am more familiar with cisco commands.

 

When I run the followind command I get nothing:

maybe they are using the "out-of-band management ports? sorry I mislabled these I meant slot 2 (SFP and SFP + uplink stacking ports)
 
What is best way to start figuring out the topology if that is the correct term.
 
on my cisco switches I would use my show trunk commands and find all my trunks then mapp them out in visio. 
 
Once I had them mapped out I would check out my root switch and make sure my core switch was the root and then I would change the per vlan spanning tree to make use of all the trunks by setting port priority and thus optimize my network traffic flow.
 
I am kind of loss here because I cannot find the trunks and it looks like it may be using slot 2 uplink or stacking ports?
 
What would be the best way to start getting this mapped out and find out how everything is setup.   We use to have a network engineer but he is no longer with the company and I am it.

On that type show lldp neighbor detail, if LLDP is on the other systems that will tell you which ports are connected to which.

 

With that said, it appears that port 1/2/2 is your uplink.

Thanks John I will check into that now!  I would just have everyone treat me like the baby networker Smiley Wink and I will just try to learn from everyone I appreciate the assitance as I try to figure out how the standard for working with live brocade equiptment and the normal flow and thought process.

Awesome command!!  I realise that is universal but have not gotten into it in my CCNA training  yet and not s ure if its covered there or CCNP but regardless that worked great.  I am adding all this stuff to my one note so I dont have to ask same questions again in the future.  I really appreciate the assitance and help as I learn on the fly!

 

it does look like these are on the slot 2 SFP uplink or stacking ports..   is there anything special to know about these or how these are handled?  do we treat them like normal ports I will google up and try to research them as well.

I am going to add some informatjion as well since I like to share information and try to be helpful to communities and education and learning is probably one of the biggest enjoyments of my life and I hope to never stop learning.

 

I should have known when I wanted to start building a topology that another layer 2 type protocol existed.  I have had had it drilled into me in the past from videos and studies of Cisco but for some reason when messing with Brocade it all went out the window because Brocade switches are more of a mystery and I am having to learn alot.

 

CDP is that that tool.  Now I know that is Cisco propertary but when I took my BCNE class and passed the exam I learned about Brocades version which is FDP and Brocade lists it as CDP/FDP basically.

 

So very similiar to the lldp this gives alot of good inforamtion you can use to create your topology as well on a brocade swtich.

 

If others have others ideas or things to share that they feel might be helpful I welcome the input no matter how small it may be.  I love to learn, but I enjoy sharing with others just as much.
