What ports on the Brocade do you need connected to the Cisco? And on what VLAN's?
Also This link may help you understand some of the differances. http://community.brocade.com/dtscp75322/attachment

Okm on the 6450 without the licence for 10G port upgrade you have two 10G ports y default, 1/2/1 and 1/2/3. You can use these to uplink ports to the connect to the Cisco device, all you need to do is make sure on the Brocade side is they are tagged to the rights VLAN's and on the Cisco side make sure they are switchporttrunk allow to the right VLAN's.
With out the licence you can use ports 1/2/2 and 1/2/4 as 1 Gbps ports only.
