You need to load routing code onto the system, you currently have switch code. Then depending on what you need to do with routing protocols you may need a premium license.

You will need to download the code from http://my.brocade.com/wps/myportal/, then downloads, then Ethernet Switches, then FastIronWS.
You will need the base L3 code described as FWSL07400c.bin (base Layer 3) if you want the latest version. This will allow static routes.
This will give you Boot/DHCP Relay, IP Helpers RIPV1 and V2 (advertising only), Routing for directly connected IP subnets, static routing, Virtual Interfaces and VRRP, so this should be exactly what you need.
Make sure and follow the steps in the Release Notes for the version of code you want to load.

If you have registered any of your FastIron switches on MyBrocade, you would be getting that option. If not, it may be an issue with the registration. If that is the case, you should contact TAC for further assistance with that process. If you have not registered yet, you can do so on the MyBrocade page.

Please see the following doc http://community.brocade.com/docs/DOC-1842 for how to change into base layer 3 code. Will should already have it in your secondary flash on the FWS. However you should also upgrade the device when you can.
