Several interesting news items have popped up this week. First, an update on the FCC's net neutrality laws. The regulations will be made official on November 20th. Lawsuits are expected to follow shortly after. Here is a a brief translation of the regulations.
Service providers accused of throttling may be facing hearings in Canada from groups of angry customers. New guidelines have been published to dictate how complaints will be handled in the future.
The US Government is considering looking to ISPs for help in fighting viruses and botnets. The idea there is to create a "code of conduct" on how ISPs will handle botnet and virus attacks. There are still plenty of questions about the ultimate implementation however. What do you think is the best way to handle this issue?
