Turboiron with router version

Hello,

In december 2010, we bought 2 Turboiron 24X.

We are unable to install our Redhat Linux servers using PXE boot. The PXE boot works fine but latter during the installation process (with Anaconda), the DHCP request fails if we use TIR04200.bin or TIR04200a.bin flash version. The linux server sends a DHCPDISCOVER and the DHCP server responds with a DHCPOFFER which is never received by the client being installed (there is a time out). With our 3COM switches we have never had this kind of problem.

If we use TIS04200a.bin or TIS04200.bin flash version instead, the installation works just fine as expected.

I would like to know what do I have to add int the running configuration with TIR04200a.bin flash version?

I have added "no route-only" but this seems not to be enough.

DHCP server and client are on the same vlan.

ip bootp-gateway, ip helper-address, dhcp-default-router don't change anything.

Thank you for your help

Re: Turboiron with router version

Hi,

Are the ports in the default VLAN (1)? Only thing  I can think of.

Thanks

Michael.

Hi,

No the ports are in vlan 7. It is not the default VLAN.

Thank you for your interest.

Re: Turboiron with router version

Problem is resolved with TIR04200c.bin flash version.
