Retrieve Optic Readings using SNMP

Good afternoon - looking for some assistance. I am developing a custom network monitoring system.  I am successfully retrieveing ethernet port information from my MLX-8 chassis using SNMP.  I am stuck however, on being able to retrieve the fiber optic readings that would normally be shown using the 'show optic' CLI command.

Any assistance would be fantastic - Thank you Ron

Re: Retrieve Optic Readings using SNMP

Hello Ron,

have a look at the Foundry Enterprise OID

1.3.6.1.4.1.1991

E.g.

snmpwalk -v 2c -c COMMUNITY HOSTNAME .1.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.3.6

will print out all the DBM:

iso.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.3.6.1.1.1 = STRING: "      N/A    "

iso.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.3.6.1.1.2 = STRING: "      N/A    "

iso.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.3.6.1.1.3 = STRING: "   32.0195 C: Normal"

iso.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.3.6.1.1.4 = STRING: "   35.9375 C: Normal"

iso.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.3.6.1.1.21 = STRING: "   36.5937 C: Normal"

iso.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.3.6.1.1.22 = STRING: "   42.6250 C: Normal"

iso.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.3.6.1.1.23 = STRING: "   43.1875 C: Normal"

iso.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.3.3.6.1.1.24 = STRING: "   40.3632 C: Normal"

..
