On FCX, is there a way to reverse the flow of air when placing switch in back of rack?

Just wondering if I can put the fans in "backwards"

mark,

I'm not a expert in Brocade ethernet Plattforms, however....

Brocade Offer by some NEW plattforms ( SAN Switches ) like the Brocade 6505 and 6510 TWO Order option as -R and -F

-R is Cooling rear to Front and -F Front to Rear.

Now, i'm not sure if this FCX is a new generation Switch, and if yes...., ??? Brocade offer such FAN optional for this Plattforms.

You should ask you Brocade representative in you Country.

Thank you.

Hi Mark,

The FCX (non stacking version) can be order with the -E or -I option for air flow direction. From memory you would need to change the power supplies and fans to change the direction if you wanted to do this after ordering.

Thanks

Michael.
