OSPF in Brocade VCS environment

Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding OSPF in a VCS enviroment. I have checked brocade documentation regarding needed commands :

http://www.brocade.com/downloads/documents/html_product_manuals/NOS_410_AG/GUID-B479AA82-00FB-427A-8499-681AB32EAAF3.html

Which is related to figure below :

http://www.brocade.com/downloads/documents/html_product_manuals/NOS_410_AG/GUID-52026E31-35E0-4233-87F2-2BE033C03A10.html

I need to know if RB1 and RB2 in this figure are part of a VCS fabric cluster ?  I mean are they sharing a common "vcs id" and have ISL between them ? Because I cannot tell this by looking at the picture.

I know this question seems a bit silly but I am quite new in the networking and I would appreciuate if you explain more about this.

Thank you in advance.

Re: OSPF in Brocade VCS environment

Hi sam_s

all RBs (1 to 5) are part of the same VCS Fabric cluster (same VCS ID). You can see it on the right where the line differs between Core and VCS.

Only RB 1/2 have L3 capability (Routers).

Cheers,
