Latest Software...Boot Err: Bad code image header

I have an FWS648G (no POE) that I updated the boot rom on and when I try to boot it from the primary it says Boot Err: Bad code image header. I have tried re-uploading the flash, erasing and reuploading it. I copied the flash from an FWS648GPOE and I’m thinking it should work.

I don’t see where to download a newer boot room or flash on the website.

If I have 3 switches, is it a best practice to run them all at layer 3 code or just one and layer 2 on the other. If layer 3 on all, then do I route them all to the next switch or the main firewall?

Hi,

You need to have registered the product serial number to gain access to the code via the my.brocade.com support section.

Thanks

Michael.

Re: Latest Software...Boot Err: Bad code image header

Hi Michael,

I am trying to register my product unfortunately it;s not accepting.  "Ser.No.MBAN17G09R "  this is the correct serial number.  I got 3 brocade FWS624G;s and none of the serial numbers are working.

Any help would be great.

Regards,

Roshan
