I can configure a trunk on my FWS but the ICX doesn't seem to accept a trunk configuration or trunk deploy command.
I enter on the FWS:
turnk e 0/1/39 to 0/1/40
and it's up.
on the ICX I enter:
trun e 1/2/1 to 1/2/2
I get the following error:
Command Not Allowed in NI style LAG CLI mode

Strange, works on my 6430. I am running ICX64S07400a.bin code.
However when you say ICX6430C, is that the 12 port modal (ICX6430-C12)? As mine is the 24 port version.
Other info - on mine, I have nothing connected into those ports and the ICX is not in a stack (stand alone unit) also the ICX has no licenses.
SSH@swtich(config)#trun e 1/2/1 to 1/2/2
Trunk will be created in next trunk deploy.
Trunk ID: 65
Hw Trunk ID: 1
Primary Port Monitored: Jointly
Ports PortName Port_Status Monitor Rx_Mirr Tx_Mirr Monitor_Dir
1/2/1 none enable off N/A N/A N/A
1/2/2 none enable off N/A N/A N/A

Ok, so a quick read on ver 8.0.0a L2 switching guide and I can see that the trunk command has be deprecated.
So I am gussing that you are running v 8, the below will created a static LAG what will be able to talk to the FWS trunk (I think )
Brocade(config)# lag blue static id 1
Brocade(config-lag-blue)#ports ethernet 1/2/1 to 1/2/1

That worked, thank you.
The trunk configuration commands—trunk ethernet, trunk deploy, trunk-cfg-ind,
link-aggregation active | passive, link-aggregation conf key —are deprecated. Instead, you can
use the new LAG configuration commands.
