Edgeiron4802CF, Password reset, Ctrl U not

working

hi,

My name is Anirudha and I am a student in community college
in florida . As  trainee student I am
working on few EdgeIron switches and I am not able to reset the password set by
previous user and hence not able to see configuration or test switches.

My problem is even after pressing the Ctrl U  the switch starts in normal mode rather
entering  diag. mode.

I am not able to reset password also I Get following data
garbage when I pree Ctrl U .

Hope this helps.

Set the switch to its default configuration.

Make a direct connection to the switch’s console port (serial cable from switch to notebook/PC) and power cycle the switch. Immediately after powering on, press <Ctrl><u> to access the system file menu. Select <D> to delete all user-defined configuration files. Press <Q> to boot the switch.
