I have a vdx 6720.
I am unfamiliar with it.
I am familiar with cisco switches and ussually I can replicate a ports configuration in cisco with "show run" (from enabled) and then copy the settings to a notepad and copy them to the other port from config.
How would I do that in the vdx 6720?
I can login to the switch as root - fibreanne
when I try "show run" I get
sw0:root> show run
sh: show: command not found
when I try "en" I get
sh: en: command not found
This is not Cisco
I am just OK with Cisco. I am a Linux guru.
Do I need to install a VM with old versions of java to access my switch to set it up?

Ah ha this thing is running linux. :-)
I figured out how to change the password of admin and see admin runs a different shell that is more like cisco's
show run as admin seems to show the configuration but understanding the numbers on the ports looks a bit confusing.
I want to associate a physical port now with its name.
