A problem with negotiation of speed and duplex on ICX6430-48

Hi, all

I have some ICX6430-48 as edge switches in my company,

the scene and the situation as below:

A PC's NIC configurated to autonegotiation is connected to our switch port configured to 100M-full,

the information on switch show command is 100M-full with no doubt,

but when i saw the PC configuration, it shows 100M-half.

my question is, one is set as auto and the other is set  as fixed speed/duplex, May not Brocade correctly negotiate with NICs made from certain vendor?

or it's just a basic knowaledge that is not allowed to do like that?

thank you all  in advance, best regards!

Re: A problem with negotiation of speed and duplex on ICX6430-48

Hi,

If you want to use auto-negotiation then both ends must be set to auto-negotiate (switch and PC).

If one end is set to s specific speed then both ends must be set manually

Regards

Mick
