load balancing between weblogic nodes running on multiple ports on same IP

Hi Experts,

Is it possible to load balance between multiple weblogic managed nodes deployed on same server (single IP) and on different ports using Brocade Network Load Balancer. I know this is possible through weblogic proxy as well as web cache but we need some hardware based solution as there will be 1000+ concurrent users hitting the application. This is the example scenario, 10 managed weblogic nodes cluster running on IP 192.168.0.10 providing same application services on ports 8080 upto 8089.

Thanks,

Re: load balancing between weblogic nodes running on multiple ports on same IP

Hi Aoun,

You can try creating a real server with the given ip and add different ports from 8080 to 8089,

For health checks you can create the port policy for http protocol and bind that to each real server port.

For traffic you can bind the ports to vip port 80.

server real rs1

port 8080

port 8081

port 8082

port 8083

port 8084

port 8085

port 8086

port 8087

port 8088

poty 8089

server virtual vs1

port http

bind http rs1 8080 rs1 8081 rs1 8082 rs1 8083

bind http rs1 8084 rs1 8085 rs1 8086 rs1 8087

bind http rs1 8088 rs1 8089

Thanks
