1. Can Brocade ServerIron / ADX do SSL offload for a SOA Service i.e. SOAP over HTTPS ?
2. Building on the answer of #1, any obvious issues doing SSL offload + CSW policy for the following ability: Looking in the SOAP headers and if the version number is 1.1, direct the traffic to a group of servers supporting 1.1. Likewise if it is 1.2, directing traffic to a separate group of servers supporting SOAP 1.2

1. Yes, There is no issue with doing SSL offload for SOAP packets. ServerIron does not care what the HTTP payload is.
2. Yes, ServerIron/ADX you can switch to groups of real servers based on XML tag content. You would code a CSW policy to determine if packet contains SOAP 1.1 or SOAP 1.2 by using XML tag pattern rule
i.e Basically in XML payload of SOAP message (see sample SOAP XML payload below), there is an xml namespace element which differs depending if its 1.1 or 1.2.
SOAP 1.1 :xmlns:soapenv = http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/
SOAP 1.2 : xmlns:soapenv = http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope
