IP Nat Pool Problem on ADX

Dear friends,

Currently I'm working on ADX.

I experienced a problem because all the mail delivery delayed.

My configuration: (we are using dummy IP)

server real ironport-1 10.64.161.1

port smtp

port smtp keepalive

!

server real ironport-2 10.64.161.2

port smtp

port smtp keepalive

!

server virtual backup 203.208.181.225

port smtp

bind smtp ironport-1 smtp ironport-2 smtp

!

ip nat inside source list 25 pool backup overload

!

ip nat pool backup 203.208.181.225 203.208.181.225 prefix-len 24

!

access-list 25 permit host 10.64.161.1

access-list 25 permit host 10.64.161.2

!

Is it okay if I use same IP address for IP nat pool and IP virtual address?

Do you have any suggestion about this case?

Kindest regards,

Kristian.

Yes, we do support, but have following limitation in this case. In short, you must not unbind real server if you use same IP address for IP nat pool and IP virtual address. Instead of unbinding from VIP, just disable real server otherwise you may  encounter connectivity issue using Dynamic NAT.

---------

The ServerIron ADX supports IP NAT with an overlapping IP address between a NAT public IP and SLB VIP addresses only if the inside NAT clients are real servers bound to the VIP address. If you unbind the real servers, this NAT is not supported. The inside NAT clients are no longer real servers after they are unbound from the VIP address and the outside NAT IP address overlaps the VIP IP address.

The ServerIron ADX only supports NAT for non-real servers as inside NAT clients if the public IP address does not overlap with any VIP in the configuration.

---------

I don't know any other possible reason that have caused mail delivery delay.

Thanks.
