How do I block UDP traffic coming in via an TCP only service?

I do have a very simple layer 4 HTTP load balancing here. Everything is running fine. The strange thing is that I am able to send UDP packets to the virtual server using port 80 and it is getting load balanced to the real servers. How do I block UDP traffic talking about a TCP only service?

Re: How do I block UDP traffic coming in via an TCP only service?

The ServerIron does not know anything about TCP or UDP only ports by default and it is going to forward TCP and UDP traffic to the real servers as long as the service is up and running. There is a setting to define a service as tcp or udp only:

server virtual vip a.b.c.d

  port http tcp-only

or

server virtual vip a.b.c.d

  port http udp-only

Using tcp-only or udp-only you are going to ensure it is only tcp or udp traffic which is getting processed and forwarded to the real servers.
