Disable gratuitous arp on VIP

So we are in the process of migrating over some VIP's from another load-balancer pair to some ADX 4K's and we are having some challenges with the ADX gratuitous arping the VIP ip out to the core when the real\remote servers come up per health-checks... It would be nice to disable this behavior until we are ready to activate the VIP... is there a way to do this?

Re: Disable gratuitous arp on VIP

Hi,

I am not sure about the config on the box but normally if you disable the vip using "disable" command under the vip, it won't send gratuitous arp on healthcheck flap. Here is sample config with logs.

ServerIronADX 1000#sh run vir vs1

!Current configuration : 156 bytes

server virtual vs1 20.20.20.181
 sym-priority 10
 sym-active
 disable
 port default disable
 port http disable
 bind http rs1 http
!
end
