Biography:
As the Vice President of Global Real Estate, Facilities and Services at Brocade, Michael Hirahara has global responsibility for real estate strategy, design and development, building systems design and operations, as well as all support services to provide productive work environments. Hirahara has an extensive industry background, supporting business strategies in Fortune 500 companies for over 20 years. Hirahara joined Brocade in 2006 to support the planned growth associated with the acquisition of McDATA. Prior to joining Brocade, Hirahara was responsible for Global Real Estate and Facilities for Polycom, where he focused on the development and execution of their corporate real estate strategy. Before that Hirahara lead similar functions at Silicon Graphics and Cray Research, and he held various management positions with Arco Products Company (now BP) earlier in his career. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
