Biography:: As Brocade CTO, Dave Stevens is instrumental in driving the company’s technology strategy as it expands its role in the evolving enterprise network market. Stevens has over 20 years of experience in the enterprise networking, security, compute, and data storage industries. Most recently he was Founder and CEO of Palo Alto Networks, a privately held company that developed next-generation firewall products. Prior to that, Stevens was a partner at Foundation Capital. Stevens previously served at Brocade from 2003 to 2004 as the Vice President and CTO of Brocade Transport Systems, having joined Brocade through the acquisition of Rhapsody Networks, where he was Vice President of Business Development. Prior to that, Stevens served in senior management positions at Atmosphere Networks, Nortel (Bay Networks/SynOptics Communications), and Microdyne. Stevens holds both a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
